Rasto was brought to the Encouragement Children's Home in 2008.
Rasto's mother passed away and the children were left with the father. After a short period the father became mentally ill/challenged. He was abusive and violent to Rasto and his siblings. Rasto began life being traumatized. An uncle on seeing the state of the children he took them in for a short time. The uncle had nine children and adding Rasto and the siblings would total 14 children to take care for. It soon became a challenge to him and he could not raise enough funds to support and feed the entire household. It was at this point that he brought them to Encouragement Children’s Home.
